I'm beyond excited to have been selected to join a team of international women and gender-diverse explorers as Lead Underwater and Expedition Photographer with Sea Women Expeditions. Together, we will take part in a groundbreaking scientific and creative journey to the Southern Ocean and Antarctica.
"I’ll dive into icy depths and photograph the powerful stories of women leading the way in ocean research, conservation, and exploration - alongside the amazing environment we strive to understand and protect."
Our expedition will journey through the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, Elephant Island, and the Western Antarctic Peninsula, all the way to the Polar Circle, conducting ocean research and providing science-informed storytelling in one of the most extreme environments on Earth.
My role is to capture the stories above and below the surface during our epic 24-day voyage. This will include:
- Stunning underwater imagery of fragile and changing Southern Ocean and Antarctic ecosystems
- Visual documentation of scientific work above and below the ice
- Media content that amplifies the voices of women scientists
- Outreach materials to inspire action on climate and ocean conservation
My visuals will be shared through social media, exhibitions, school talks, and out community outreach programs.
